All I ask is that on the character selection screen, once you have highlighted a character, you have an option to choose which region and district within their location, to start in.

I might also ask for us to choose which location (i.e town, outpost, city and even campaign) we log into aswell.

My reason is because if you log into a heavily lagged location it can be absolute hell. Aside from LONG load up times, it can strand you there!

An example of this happened during this weekend, during the dragon festival. My character was in the main city for that event and the european english zone had 59 districts.

I got my hat for the event eventually, only after hours of lag. But then I kept trying to warp out to another location to get on with other stuff.

Everytime I tried, I was cut off and logged out.

I would try to log back in, and when I did I was back in that location. Again I try to leave and get cut off....

...that went on for about 30-60 minutes.

I eventually warped out after the lag calmed down and the connection was sound enough to let me leave.

But due to the MAJOR lag issues during this weekend, I couldnt leave a set location at all.

If we could choose either a less busy district, or a completely different town or campaign to start in, then it would save us this trouble.

agree. At least give us a few more spawn points in each continent to choose from. Gate of Torment seems ideal as well as sunspear sanctuary. LA, Old Ascalon and Droks. Kaineng Center, Shing Jea and Matu Keep or the separate house if you have them opened.

Cantha has since day one been a lag fest to log into and play in. I am not sure how the server system works or what but there has always been a problem with that game.

Want to take a party of 6 people at the same time to Chantry of Secrets from the Guild hall? Tough luck, 2 must go because we have to take a pit stop through 4 person kamadan. yay.
